His strength and determination were much admired, and he was a formidable leader. Multi-talented artist Leonardo da Vinci used his engineering skills and knowledge of anatomy in inventions, such as flying machines. He also painted some classic masterpieces, such as The Last Supper and the iconic Mona Lisa, one of the most recognised images of all time.
