Frontispiece photogravure portrait; reproduced pen and ink drawings throughout book; reproduced drawing of inhabited initial ‘B’ on p. 19; facsimile plates throughout. Binding: Half blue morocco and bluish green textured paste paper boards. Top edges gilt. Five raised bands on spine; author gilt in one compartment. Red patterned endpapers. Black velvet-lined linen clamshell box, with author gilt on spine.
